Recap: Benedictine Bengals vs. Jefferson Area Falcons
On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Benedictine beat Jefferson Area 58-53. The win made it back-to-back wins for Benedictine.
Benedictine's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makell Byrd, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists. Another player making a difference was John Horn, who scored 16 points.
Benedictine now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jefferson Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benedictine will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against McDowell at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Jefferson Area, they will challenge Chartiers Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
