Cherokee had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Wheeler on Friday. Everything went the Cherokee Warriors' way against the Wheeler Wildcats as the Cherokee Warriors made off with a 67-45 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Wheeler saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cailyn Landrew dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Landrew has scored all season. Jasmine James was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Cherokee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Wheeler, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13.

Cherokee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-38 victory against North Cobb on the 4th. As for Wheeler, they have also already played their next contest, an 82-34 loss against North Paulding on the 4th.
