Volleyball Recap: Englewood Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Englewood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Denver West Cowboys on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Englewood ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Englewood will host St. Mary's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denver West, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
