Softball Recap: Gateway Find Success

The Gateway Gators beat the Carrick Raiders 11-8 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

Ella Dirling made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dirling was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, Gianna D'Agostino was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Samantha Robl was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Gateway's record is now 2-0. As for Carrick, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Gateway is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Kiski Area at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carrick, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Springdale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
