Softball Recap: Gorham Fayette Takes a Loss

Gorham Fayette and Stryker pushed the score to 29-6 the last time they played Stryker, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Gorham Fayette's record now sits at 1-14. As for Stryker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.

Looking ahead, Gorham Fayette will take on Edon in a tournament on Wednesday. The Bombers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.05 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stryker, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hilltop at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cadets will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
