Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jefferson on Friday, Chapel Hill came back down to earth. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the New Diana Eagles on Tuesday. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

New Diana's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Serenity Johnson, who had eight kills and five aces. That's the most kills Johnson has posted since back in August.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for New Diana, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chapel Hill will face off against rival Daingerfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Diana is set to take on their familiar foe Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
