Football Game Preview: Knightdale Knights vs. Heritage Huskies + How To Watch

Knightdale hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Knights will head out to take on the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Knightdale has given up an average of 33.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Knightdale came up short against Wake Forest on Friday, falling 48-24. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Cougars are ranked 117th).

Despite the defeat, Knightdale got top-tier performance from Jamel Perry, who threw for 336 yards and three TDs. Perry is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least 300 passing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't). A healthy portion of Perry's aerial production (97 yards to be exact) went to Jaylen Knight, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They walked away with a 42-33 victory over Vance County on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Knightdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Knightdale came up short against Heritage in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 27-21. Thankfully for the Knights, LaDainian Person (who rushed for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
