Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Rapid City Christian

Rapid City Christian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chadron Cardinals 2-1. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Rapid City Christian got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 18-25, 25-20.

Chadron's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Vrasai Sayaloune, who had 15 digs, and Sophie Watson, who had 17 digs, five kills, and two aces.

Rapid City Christian's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Chadron, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rapid City Christian will challenge Rapid City Central at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chadron, they will welcome Gordon-Rushville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
