Football Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Ritchie County Rebels

Calhoun is 1-7 against Ritchie County since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Brennen Carpenter had a dynamite game, rushing for 92 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Chase Schoolcraft also helped with three touchdowns in total.

Calhoun didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Schoolcraft led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

However, it's not like Ritchie County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
