Basketball Game Preview: Monclova Christian Academy Thunder vs. State Line Christian Patriots

The Monclova Christian Academy Thunder will head out to take on the State Line Christian Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Monclova Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Monclova Christian Academy blew past Freedom Farm Christian, posting a 68-25 victory. The Thunder have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, State Line Christian came up short against Westlake Christian Academy on Saturday and fell 56-46. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monclova Christian Academy will need focus on slowing down Preston Roque, one of several State Line Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Rains, who had four points and eight rebounds.

Monclova Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for State Line Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Monclova Christian Academy was taken down by State Line Christian 61-10 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Monclova Christian Academy was down 42-7.
