With a playoff win on the line, Northwestern rose to the challenge on Thursday. They skirted past the Maconaquah Braves 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won eight in a row.

Northwestern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase DeWitt, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Maconaquah, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Looking ahead, Northwestern will square off against Western at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Maconaquah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
