Fairview extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They skirted past the Sardis Lions 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aggies have posted since October 4, 2024.

It was another big night for Jake Harper, who rushed for 125 yards and five TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kolt Redding, who rushed for 74 yards.

As for Sardis, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. On the bright side, the 39- point performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

When it comes to explaining why Sardis lost, don't look at Grant Coe. Despite the final result, he rushed for 93 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. Kaidence Wilson was Coe's top target, picking up 11 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 36 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fairview will take on East Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sardis, they will square off against Brewer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
