Marblehead and Masconomet Regional are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. The Magicians will head out on the road to square off against the Chieftains at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Masconomet Regional took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Marblehead, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Marblehead earned a 3-1 win over Woburn Memorial. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Magicians.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 21-25, 25-18, 25-11.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Masconomet Regional's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Melrose by a score of 3-2.

Masconomet Regional took Melrose into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 16-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Marblehead's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Masconomet Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Marblehead's way against Masconomet Regional in their previous meeting on September 3rd, as Marblehead made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Magicians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
