Basketball Recap: Rockford East Falls Despite Big Games from Aubrey Phillip and Promise Crawford

Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 57-34 to the Belvidere North Blue Thunder. The E-Rabs were down 46-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Rockford East had strong showings from Promise Crawford, who posted 15 points, and Aubrey Phillip, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points gave Phillip a new career-high.

Rockford East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Belvidere North, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.

Rockford East has already played their next matchup, a 52-6 loss against DeKalb on the 22nd. As for Belvidere North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-18 defeat against Carmel on the 18th.
