Aledo has gone a perfect 9-0 against Azle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Aledo Bearcats will square off against the Azle Hornets at 7:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Aledo has three straight victories, Azle has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Aledo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Granbury 3-0. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won nine matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Azle didn't have quite enough to beat Brewer on Wednesday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by just one goal.

Aledo's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. As for Azle, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Everything went Aledo's way against Azle in their previous meeting back in February, as Aledo made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aledo since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
