Ariana Akey put up the most rushing yards she's had since back in September of 2024 on Wednesday. She wasn't messing around, rushing for 119 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 233 yards and four touchdowns. The contest was her seventh straight with three or more passing touchdowns.

Akey and Mountain Vista will be playing at home against Chaparral at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wolverines thanks in part to Akey: she threw for 247 yards and five TDs, and also rushed for 109 yards on only nine carries.
