Baseball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Comes Up Short

Jac-Cen-Del lost against Milan back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Friday.

Keagan Williamson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Meyer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Jac-Cen-Del and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Milan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jac-Cen-Del will square off against rival Switzerland County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Milan is set to challenge their familiar foe Southwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
