Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brilan Biesecker and Dallis Stewart Lead Renaissance Academy to Victory

Renaissance Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Faith Christian Academy. They blew past the Faith Christian Academy Lions 56-34. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 38-30 back in January.

Renaissance Academy was led to victory by Dallis Stewart and Brilan Biesecker. Stewart dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Biesecker went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Biesecker a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (57%). Aniyah Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Renaissance Academy pushed their record up to 12-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points over those games. As for Faith Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11.

Renaissance Academy and Faith Christian Academy are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Renaissance Academy will square off against Delaware County Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Renaissance Academy at 6:00 a.m.
