Soccer Recap: Ridgway's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ridgway lost to Northern Potter back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Elker's defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout. While Ridgway didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win (which was Ridgway's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Northern Potter, Coudersport, and Elk County Catholic. As for the Panthers, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-2-1.

Ridgway wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Elk County Catholic on the 15th. As for Northern Potter, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Coudersport on the 16th.
