Volleyball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Big Horn Rams. If the Bison were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Rams when the teams met back in September of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South's offense was headlined by Katelynn Brennan and Allyson Felix-Santos, who picked up four kills apiece. Brennan really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with ten. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Big Horn found their leader in sophomore Lilly Thomas, who had nine digs and one assist.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Big Horn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Campbell County on the 27th. As for Big Horn, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Laramie on the 27th.
