Baseball Recap: Mineral Wells Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lake Worth last Wednesday, Mineral Wells came back down to earth. The Mineral Wells Rams fell just short of the Chester Yellowjackets by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Mineral Wells has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5-1 record this season. Chester has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 12-3-1 record this season.

Mineral Wells has already played their next match, an 11-2 loss against Godley on the 11th. As for Chester, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs Chester Yellowjackets duke it out with Hemphill Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games they have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
