Soccer Recap: Rocky River Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lexington last Saturday, Rocky River came back down to earth. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Padua Franciscan Bruins on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Rocky River dropped their record down to 6-4-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Padua Franciscan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-3 record this season.

Rocky River wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against North Olmsted on the 24th. As for Padua Franciscan, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Lake Catholic on the 23rd.
