Ste. Genevieve won the last time they faced Perryville and things went their way on Thursday too. Ste. Genevieve won by a run and slipped past Perryville 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ethan Ottens was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Justin Schweigert, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The win was the third in a row for Ste. Genevieve, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Perryville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Ste. Genevieve will take on St. Louis HomeSchool P at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perryville, they will square off against St. Vincent at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
