Baseball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Continental's offense. They came up short against the Holgate Tigers on Monday, falling 13-0. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 16-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Continental saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Bidlack, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Continental has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season. As for Holgate, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Continental will host Leipsic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holgate, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ayersville at 5:00 p.m.
