Recap: American Prep WV Eagles vs. Freedom Prep Academy Eagles
The American Prep WV Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Freedom Prep Academy 37-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as American Prep WV also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead American Prep WV to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leticia Calderon, who scored ten points along with six assists and five rebounds. Jimena Cortes was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
American Prep WV's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Prep WV will face off against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams is ranked 128th, while American Prep WV is ranked 132nd). Freedom Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 4:00 p.m. on January 24th.
