Volleyball Recap: Falmouth Comes Up Short

Falmouth lost against Notre Dame Academy on October 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clippers lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Layla Clunes paced Falmouth's offense, picking up eight kills. Clunes got some help from Kinleigh Mohan and her 17 assists. Mohan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Falmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Notre Dame Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Falmouth will challenge Fairhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will face off against Plymouth North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
