Football Recap: Keenan Starts Season with Victory Against Dreher

Keenan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 30-22 win over the Dreher Blue Devils on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hunter O'Neal was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 183 yards and a pair of scores. Jordan Wilson also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Keenan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Dreher lost, don't look at Brandon Mack. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards and three TDs.

Keenan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 19-0 loss against Pendleton on the 29th. As for Dreher, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Cardinal Newman on the 29th.
