Sonoran Science Academy was outmatched by Arrowhead Christian Academy at home and fell 69-14. Sonoran Science Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.
Arrowhead Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Asa Shaw led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Shaw has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian DeLaCruz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Sonoran Science Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.5 points per game. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Arrowhead Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
