Basketball Recap: Joseph Wicker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Millikan over Inglewood

Millikan lost against Inglewood back in November of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams took a 75-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sentinels. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (65), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joseph Wicker, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. Wicker is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Jeremiah Hunt was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine assists.

Jason Crowe Jr was nothing short of spectacular for Inglewood: he went 16-for-39 en route to 46 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was David Conerly, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Millikan's record is now 0-2. As for Inglewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Millikan will challenge Harvard-Westlake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Inglewood, they will take on Bishop Diego at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
