Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs vs. La Junta Tigers

The Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs will take on the La Junta Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo Centennial is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Pueblo Centennial is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Pueblo Central on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Pueblo Centennial was beaten by Pueblo Central 88-50. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-18.

Meanwhile, La Junta came up short against Florence on Friday and fell 51-43.

La Junta has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. Pueblo Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Pueblo Centennial didn't have too much breathing room in their match against La Junta in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win.
