Baseball Game Preview: Littlefield Wildcats vs. Friona Chieftans

The Littlefield Wildcats will face off against the Friona Chieftans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Friona took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Littlefield, who comes in off a win.

Littlefield's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Roosevelt by a score of 5-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Friona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Shallowater, falling 20-2.

Owen McGaughy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Littlefield's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Friona, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Everything went Littlefield's way against Friona when the teams last played back in March, as Littlefield made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Chieftans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
