Football Recap: Legacy Tigers vs. South Gate Rams
Legacy was the 22-14 winner over South Gate when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Legacy Tigers fell just short of the South Gate Rams by a score of 44-41 on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Legacy's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Chris Hernriquez, Abdiel Gonzalez, and Eli Ibarra picked up one apiece.
Legacy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for South Gate, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will welcome Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Gate, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bell at 7:00 p.m. on October 4th.
