Recap: Piedmont Panthers vs. East Gaston Warriors
On Friday, Piedmont was able to grind out a solid win over East Gaston, taking the game 44-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Piedmont.
Piedmont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camryn Kaminski led the charge by dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Polk, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds.
Piedmont now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Gaston, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont will challenge East Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Mecklenburg is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for East Gaston, they will head out on the road to face off against Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashbrook presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Gaston in North Carolina (Ashbrook is ranked 186th, while East Gaston is ranked 436th).
