Basketball Recap: Patuxent Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Patuxent had lost 22 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-2 to make it 23. They were beaten by the Huntingtown Hurricanes 57-18. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

As for Huntingtown, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Huntingtown can attribute much of their success to Elijah Washington, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Cobb, who posted nine points.

Patuxent has already played their next matchup, a 74-36 defeat against King's Christian Academy on the 8th. As for Huntingtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-41 loss against Great Mills on the 8th.
