Softball Recap: East Webster Wolverines vs. Choctaw Central Warriors

East Webster took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Choctaw Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolverines narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Warriors 6-5. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by just one run.

Paytan Sanders made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Sanders was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jasie Rae Flora, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Faith Edwards, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
