Tyler has gone 8-2 against St. Marys recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will venture away from home to take on the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tyler is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 9th on Tuesday. They came up short against Grafton, falling 11-1.

Tyler saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Kunkle, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, St. Marys lost 13-1 to Doddridge County on Tuesday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Tyler's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for St. Marys, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tyler has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Marys struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Tyler was able to grind out a solid win over St. Marys in their previous matchup back in April, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
