Guntersville is 9-1 against Fairview since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Guntersville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

Guntersville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Scottsboro, who was ranked second at the time (Guntersville was ranked third). Guntersville was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 60-59 to Scottsboro. The loss continues a trend for Guntersville in their meetings with Scottsboro: they've now lost seven in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was ADDISON HAMMOND, who posted ten points along with five assists and three blocks. AVERY GEORGE was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points.

Meanwhile, Fairview hadn't done well against Arab recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Aggies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 50-48. The game was the first time the Aggies have beaten the Knights on their court since December 27, 2019.

Fairview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Guntersville fell to 12-1.

Guntersville was able to grind out a solid win over Fairview in their previous meeting back in January, winning 57-44. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Aggies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
