Baseball Recap: Kingsburg Gets the Win

Kingsburg extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Paso Robles. They had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 4-3. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jensen Hirschkorn was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Elijah Duarte was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Kingsburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Paso Robles, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-12.

As of now, neither Kingsburg nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
