Volleyball Recap: Madison East Comes Up Short

Madison East lost against Neenah back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Purgolders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets.

Madison East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15.

Godfrey Bradshaw paced Madison East's offense, picking up eight kills. Bradshaw got some help from Kinley Lor and his six assists. Tyrazion Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Neenah to victory were Levi Steckling and Logan McNamara. Steckling had 12 digs and two assists, while McNamara had three aces. That's the most aces McNamara has posted since back in September.

Madison East's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Neenah, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Madison East has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Union Grove on the 11th. As for Neenah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Appleton North on the 11th.
