Basketball Game Preview: Fresno Warriors vs. Tulare Union Tribe

The Fresno Warriors will head out to square off against the Tulare Union Tribe at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Fresno ended up a good deal behind Roosevelt and lost 66-48. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Rough Riders are ranked 282nd).

Meanwhile, Tulare Union had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with an 83-73 win over the Mustangs.

Tulare Union's win came from a few key players Fresno will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Demaje Riley, who posted 29 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Stevenson, who put up 20 points.

Fresno now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Tulare Union, their record now sits at 23-5.

Fresno opened the new year with a less-than-successful 68-59 defeat to Tulare Union. Can Fresno avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
