Football Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Selah Vikings + Official Tickets

The East Valley Red Devils will face off against the Selah Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Valley hadn't beaten Toppenish on the road since October 7, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Red Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 56-6. The victory was just business as usual for the Red Devils, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

East Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braden Albrecht, who rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Albrecht has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Berg, who threw for 264 yards and five TDs while completing 81.2% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to East Valley's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Abraham Gutierrez, Logan Jones, and Zeliah Wade, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Selah never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 40-0 win over Grandview. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

East Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Selah, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

East Valley strolled past Selah in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 31-12. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
