Basketball Recap: Burnsville Comes Up Short

Burnsville lost against Apple Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Burnsville Blaze took a hard 70-56 fall against the Apple Valley Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Blaze can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Eagles are ranked sixth).

Burnsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Apple Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Burnsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Apple Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eastview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
