Basketball Recap: Ava Zicchinelli's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miller Place over John Glenn

Miller Place was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a hard 51-34 fall against the John Glenn Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-26 back in December of 2024.

Miller Place lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ava Zicchinelli, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Zicchinelli is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Sadie Bryant was another key player, putting up five points and 12 rebounds.

Miller Place's record is now 2-15. As for John Glenn, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller Place has already played their next match (against Mount Sinai), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. John Glenn has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Kings Park.
