 The Garrard County Golden Lions will head out on the road to  challenge  the South Laurel Cardinals at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Garrard County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9  runs per game  this season.
 On Monday, Garrard County came up short against Southwestern  and fell  22-18. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Friday (11), Garrard County still had to take the loss.
  Molly Abney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 4-for-6 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Jazlyn Shelton, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of seven wins, South Laurel's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They lost  12-2 to North Laurel. Having soared to a lofty 18  runs in the game before, South Laurel couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Garrard County's loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 9-13. As for South Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
 Garrard County came up short against South Laurel in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023, falling  9-4. Can Garrard County avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
