Recap: Bullard Panthers vs. Van Vandals
Even though the Bullard Panthers have not done well against the Van Vandals recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bullard came out on top against Van by a score of 28-21. The win was all the more spectacular given Bullard's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Van is ranked 123rd).
Crew Bowman was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Clifford Douglas also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Van still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Moffatt, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 194 yards and a touchdown.
Bullard's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Van, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Bullard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Van will look to defend their home field on Friday against Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m.
