Recap: Georgia Military College Bulldogs vs. Wilkinson County Warriors

This season hasn't been kind to the Georgia Military College Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 11th game. They lost to Wilkinson County on the road by a decisive 30-13 margin on Tuesday. Georgia Military College was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilkinson County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Georgia Military College got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Harmoni Watkins and Emily Gates, who each put up four points. Watkins also led the team in rebounds with five. Corrinne Rudolph took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Georgia Military College's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.8 points per game. As for Wilkinson County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia Military College will take on Brentwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brentwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Wilkinson County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Twiggs County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twiggs County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
