Softball Preview: Singer Hornets vs. Johnson Bayou Rebels
The Singer Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Johnson Bayou Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Singer will be strutting in after a victory while Johnson Bayou will be coming in after a loss.
Singer made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Cameron, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets blew past the Tarpons 15-5 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.
Jada Eaves made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Breeanna Mitchell was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
