Valley Center was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Nevaeh Colon did her best to prevent it. Despite the loss, Colon was still locked in as she struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.
