Basketball Recap: Chambers Academy Takes a Loss

Chambers Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addie Longcrier led the charge by going 5 for 10 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiyah Powell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Chambers Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Chambers Academy will challenge Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they will face off against Abbeville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
