Soccer Game Preview: Concord Christian vs. Maryville Christian

The Concord Christian Lions will take on the Maryville Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Concord Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Lakeway Christian Academy on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lakeway Christian Academy by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Maryville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 5-2 to Rockwood. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Maryville Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Mason Brown and Will Turner scored both of Maryville Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Maryville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Concord Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5-3 record this season.
